Rental Housing

Chicago Housing Authority

Chicago Housing Authority {CHA} is a low income rental assistance program where the CHA owns, manages, and operates these units. The tenant pays 30% of their income for rent. Currently they are only accepting applications for single or married Seniors. The waiting list for the general public is closed.

We are constantly trying to obtain information to give those who come in seeking any type of housing. We have a Low Income Housing Listing we give to all clients who come in seeking housing information. This list contains all subsidies in the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs' and Public Housing Authorities with contact information for each. We urge interested applicants to contact them at best at the beginning of each month to check to see if they have their waiting lists open at their respective sites.
